INFORMATION ON/ZU | LUPINEN |
LUPINEN shows a free surreal chain of association, consisting of landscape elements, figures, script/ text and a structure on the right side of the picture, which could be of architectural nature. The figures and terms hardly connect to form a logical story. However, there are references to other of my works, and between the scenic tracks and traces characters extracted from other contexts, a sportswoman (collage), a masked man referring to media images we see every day, a mechanic with a non-identifiable device, perhaps a turbine. Additionally, a shadow of another figure and the negative form of a head in which the word “Lupinen” is written, below this the word “nichtraum”/”non-space”.
The arrangement, the composition connects all the elements. Like a strange, complex sound or a mysterious noise, whose origin remains hidden…
LUPINEN zeigt eine freie surreale Assoziationskette, bestehend aus landschaftlichen Elementen, Figuren, Schrift/ Text und einer Struktur am rechten Bildrand, die architektonischer Natur sein könnte. Verwendete Zeichen und Begriffe lassen sich nur schwerlich zu einer Geschichte verbinden. Es gibt jedoch Texthinweise, die werkimmanent auf andere meiner Arbeiten verweisen, und zwischen den landschaftlichen Spuren Figuren, die aus anderen Zusammenhängen herausgelöst sind, eine Sportlerin (collagiert), einen Vermummten, der uns an tägliche Medienbilder erinnert, einen Mechaniker, der mit einem nicht identifizierbaren Gerät, vielleicht einer Turbine, beschäftigt ist. Darüberhinaus den Schatten einer weiteren Figur und die Negativform eines Kopfes, in der das Wort „Lupinen“ steht, darunter das Wort „nichtraum“.
Was die Elemente verbindet, ist letzlich nur die Anordnung, die Komposition auf dem Blatt. Wie ein fremdartiger Klang oder ein rätselhaftes Geräusch, dessen Ursache verborgen bleibt…
