Mr. Click (lucky man opera) | wanna hear me sing? | originally from 1998 | Project MSol – Michel Roth & Wolfgang in der Wiesche

it’s time to finally post some music… | I wrote the lyrics and basic composition back then in 1998 when I was playing and performing with the band pick pocket, based in Braunschweig, Germany. The original arrangement for the song was then done by the band. Michel Roth, drummer and singer of pick pocket, recomposed/rearranged the track in 2003 as far as my memory is correct. He then made Mr. Click available to the public on his Project MSol account  and here it is – and here are the lyrics:

Mr Click

--

you know - there was this - tic-toc / tic-toc

anyway - I didn't have to do anything with it...
		and I don't have now

		once I had different names
but never I had one like: Franz, Willi, John
if you'd ever like to call me
perhaps I'd prefer - Mr. Click!

		yes, Mr. Click, that's realistic!

hello, Mr. Click, how are you??
hatten sie schöne Ferien, Mr. Click?

		yes - oh yes...
--

you know - I'm sure you'll take me for a real person
		that I never was

then you'll try to cut my freedom
		my moving around, meine Erscheinung

		but - you're wrong

I'm not what you think I am
so - don't talk to me with Schimmel on your tongue

don't try to make a man out of me
don't call me: Karl - or Herby - or Horst

--

my name is - something like a special price
or, if you like so, a toffee

you wouldn't have the time to pronounce it right
if you'd ever recognize what I'm here for

uhh - what a lucky man... he was...
uhh - what a lucky man... he was...
